Fountains Eyecare Identity & Logo Design

Fountains Eyecare, coming to Fairview Height, IL, came to Visual Lure to develop their new logo and identity system. They wanted an eye and a fountain in the logo. This is what we came up with. We also came up with the tagline “focused on our patients”.

Logo Design Options for Niche Fine Eyewear

My Little Fishy

I’ve wanted to go deep sea fishing for some time now and finally had the chance to go this month in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I was lucky enough to catch four fish. Here is the largest one I caught, a Dorado, also called a Mahi Mahi or Dolphin. It weighed over 25 pounds. A special thanks to Ric Jones for taking me out!
Helping a Non-For-Profit Organization With Its Logo

Here are a couple logo design options I just provided to Fontebella, a faith based non-for-profit maternity shelter coming to the Belleville and O’Fallon, IL area. The logo on the left plays off the “stork” baby theme, but replacing the stork is a dove, symbolizing God’s gift of life. The logo in the middle is a heart which creates two symbolized heads, representing the mother and child, or the mother and a member of the shelter helping and supporting them. The logo on the right represents a fountain with life springing from it. (fonte means fountain and bella means beautiful)
The client decided to go with the following logo and color option.

Choosing a Blog

After researching and playing with blog software such as Blogger, GoDaddy’s Quick Blogcast and a couple others, we have decided to go with WordPress. We choose WordPress because it has the ability to be 100% customizable and we can host it on our own server. So, check back soon! We will be posting some of our latest design projects and showing some “behind the scenes” techniques of how we design and work. We will also throw in post, here and there, of anything we find interesting or deserving of being blogged about. So please check back soon.
