Logo Design for New York Wedding Photographers
Posted by Justen Hong in Logo Design, Identity & Branding on December 21, 2011
When we finished the logo design for Boudior Rocks, the owners loved the new logo so much they decided to redesign the logo for their wedding photography business also. They requested that the two logos tie together somehow, that the new logo have some type of hidden meaning and if possible, represent “two”. Two as in, two people get married and they are a team of two wedding photographers.
So we brainstormed, and we sketched, and brainstormed, and we sketched, and brainstormed, and we sketched… You get the idea, and then it hit us like a ton of bricks. Two wedding rings, made out of two camera shutters, intertwined to represent a marriage of two people and two wedding photographers working together to capture that day. We cleaned up and customized the same typeface that we used in the Boudior Rocks logo to give the two logos some cohesion.

Logo Design for New York Photographers Specializing in Boudoir Style Photography
Posted by Justen Hong in Logo Design, Identity & Branding on December 12, 2011
Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a new logo for Boudoir Rocks, a New York team of photographers that specialize in boudoir style photography. They really wanted the new logo to have a hidden meaning or a symbol that was integrated into the design somehow. They also wanted a separate design element that they could use as a watermark. Below are our initial logo design options that we provided to our client. All the logo designs show horizontal, vertical and watermark options.
The logo design below features a “tattoo style” heart and arrow that create the letter B. We figured what is more “rock” than a tattoo, right? Both the typefaces used in “boudoir” and “rocks” where hand drawn and converted into vector art.

The next logo features a brassiere that creates the letter B. We custom illustrated the bra so that it complemented the style of the typeface:

Our final logo design option features a simple monogram made out of the letters B and R:

Logo Design for New York Photographer
Posted by Justen Hong in Logo Design, Identity & Branding, Website/Web Design on December 8, 2011
Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a logo for Tony Calarco, a very talented New York based photographer and owner of Tony Calarco Photography. He wanted to start building a fashionable, modern, high-end looking brand, so in the development of the new look we explored multiple sans-serif and script style typefaces. In the end, we went with a unique customized sans-serif type. We also created a complementary icon that he can use as a watermark, in background images, etc.
We are currently in the planning stages of redesigning his website, but feel free to check out his photography at www.tonycalarco.com.
Check back soon for news about his new website design.

Logo Design for a Collection of High-End Photography Albums
Posted by Justen Hong in Logo Design, Identity & Branding on October 3, 2011
Once again Salvatore Cincotta Photography has turned to Visual Lure to design a new logo. They are in the process of launching a new collection of high-end photography albums. The new album line will be called The Signature Collection. The only direction we received from Sal where these five words: elite, rich, boutique, modern and artisan.
I imagine the logo will be embossed into leather, possibly even stamped into metals or carved into wood, so the logo needs to be simple. Below are our initial proposed logo designs. The top left logo features a stack of photo albums that create the letter “S”. The top right logo features a “SC” monogram which stands for both Signature Collection & Salvatore Cincotta. The bottom left logo features a stack of three albums, the top two create the letter “S” and the bottom one creates the letter “C”. The bottom right logo simply features an elegant script font. Check back soon to see where these initial logo designs take us.

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a logo for Clarus Photography, a Valdosta, Georgia husband and wife photography team. Their company name, Clarus, is Latin for clear, bright, illustrious and illuminating. Directly below is our favorite proposed logo design which we feel is bright, colorful and illuminating.

Clarus Photography also requested an “ornate crest” logo option that was contemporary and modern, which you can see below at the top right along with a couple other logo design options we provided. Check back soon to see which logo our client chooses.

Logo Design for St. Louis, MO Gas Station and Premium Car Wash
Posted by Justen Hong in Logo Design, Identity & Branding on July 13, 2011
Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a logo for a new gas station and premium car wash coming to St. Louis, MO. All the logos displayed below feature two E’s from the initials of Edison Express. I think my favorite logo is the one on the bottom right. It is simple, strong, and the second E (which represents Express) has “motion lines” that create the first E. Stay tuned for the final logo design…

Logo Design for Educational Website Focused on Exercise, Diet, Weight Loss & Health
Posted by Justen Hong in Logo Design, Identity & Branding on June 2, 2011
Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a logo for an online “Nutrition University” that educates users how to loss weight, the healthy way, based on exercise, diet and nutrition. They wanted a logo that resembled a university seal or crest, so we replaced the book, flame and candle icons that you would typically see on a university crest, and replaced them with a person running (symbolizing exercise), eating utensils (symbolizing diet & nutrition), a scale with an arrow moving backwards (symbolizing weight loss) and a heart (symbolizing good health). Showcased below are the crest, the crest rendered to look like it was made out of copper and an optional horizontal format.

Logo Design for a St. Louis, MO based Investigation/Intelligence Company
Posted by Justen Hong in Logo Design, Identity & Branding on June 2, 2011
Visual Lure was recently contracted to rebrand a St. Louis, MO based investigation/intelligence company. They wanted a clean corporate image/logo, and below are some of the designs we came up with. The logo design on the top is the chosen one, and the logos below that were some of our other concepts. The chosen logo is a three dimensional stone, that also creates a step, and the letter “C”. One thing we love about it, is if you stare at it, it will actually change from the letter “C” to a couple different dimensions of the stone/step. This really makes you “investigate” the logo and look at it from other perspectives, which is what their business is all about. We are currently working on their identity design package, which we will add soon, so come back to check it out.

Logo Design for a St. Louis Logistics Company
Posted by Justen Hong in Logo Design, Identity & Branding on March 16, 2011
Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a logo for a St. Louis logistics company called SheerTrans Solutions. The top logo (show below) is the final logo with a couple other unused logo design options (underneath it). The final logo creates a path/road/track (which symbolizes logistics & transportation), an infinity symbol (which represents constant & continuing service) and the letter “S”. We find that logos with multiple meanings make for strong, memorable marks (which is what a quality logo should be).

…and here is our proposed identity design:
